The Alagils herd has four heifers and two bulls forward for the Limousin Society’s spring show and sale at Carlisle on 5th and 6th May, with the heifers being from the best families within the herd and only offered for sale to maintain herd numbers.

The first of the heifers is Alagils Lianna, a daughter of the homebred Alagils Grammaticas out of Alagils Hannah, herself a Neuf daughter. She sells with a beef value of +34. Also being offered is Alagils Lifi, an Alagils Humberston daughter out of Alagils Fiji, a Tehix daughter, this one has an EBV of +35 and goes back to foundation cow Broadmeadows Jiji.

And Jiji features in the back pedigrees of the next two also, with the first of these being Alagils Lollipop, another by Humberston and out of Alagils Gillie. She is an October 2015-born heifer and sells with a beef value of +41. The final heifer being offered if Alagils Loxy. This one is also by Humberston and is out of Alagils Foxylady. She comes with a beef value of +43.

First of the bulls to be offered is Alagils Lego, a son of Netherhall Gallant out of Alagils Ainsi, again carrying breeding to foundation cow Broadmeadows Jiji. He carries a beef value of +45, placing him in the top 1% of the breed and has a muscle depth EBV of +5.6.

The other bull for Carlisle is Alagils Logic, a son of homebred sire Alagils Humberston out of Alagils Haricot. He sells with a beef value of +39, in the top 10% of the breed.

The herd also has one bull forward for the spring sale at Stirling, with this being Alagils Lazer. This Netherhall Gallant son is out of Alagils Ainsi and has a beef value of +44 as well as a muscle depth EBV of +5.6.
