Alagils Jambon sells at 28,000gns

The May 2016 Limousin Society sale at Carlisle will certainly be one to remember for the Alagils herd, with Algils Gambon topping the sale at 28,000gns when selling to  to Eric and Elaine Norman, Little Orton.

Sired by the Cogent AI sire Netherhall Gallant, himself a son of the 72,000gns Haltcliffe DJ, Gambon is out of Alagils Gillie, herself a daughter of the herd's foundation cow Alagils Ainsi and by the 18,000gns Millgate Ceaser. Jambon is a son of the Cogent AI bull Netherhall Gallant who is by the 72,000gn Haltcliffe DJ out of Montgomery Vixon.

Alagils Gillie is full ET brother to Alagils Gershwin which sold at Carlisle in May 2012 for 12,000gns and to Alagils Grammatical the herd's senior stock bull whose first son at auction Alagils Ike made 5500gns and sons have sold at home to £5000.

We wish the Norman family the best of luck with Gambon and look forward to seeing his progeny in the years to come.

Alagils takes second in Scottish herd competition

The Alagils herd enjoyed good results in the Scottish herd competition where we came second in the medium herd, third best heifer calf born in 2014 with Alagils Jinni and then we won the best cow family with Alagils Ainsi.

Carlisle May bulls top at 5500gns

Our trip to Carlisle this month proved fruitful with our two bulls topping at 5500gns for Alagils Ike. This one is the first son to be offered for sale publicly by the home bred Millgate Ceasar son Alagils Grammaticas and he’s out of the Ronick Hawk daughter, Alagils Cassie. He found a new home with Norman Fisher, Ivegill, Cumbria, making this the second bull he’s bought from us as he’s regularly seen topping store sales.

Next up and selling for 5000gns to the Shannas herd of John and Margaret Penny was Alagils Inkerman. By Vagabond, he’s out of Alagils Dixiechick, a Ronick Hawk daughter and grand daughter of our foundation female Broadmeadows Jiji.
